Hi everyone my name is JESSI. I am a very sweet little girl who was just found walking around all by myself needing some attention by this really great girl. But I'm gonna go ahead and just let her tell you my story and some stuff about me. So here goes....... Here is the information about the puppy that I found and am willing to foster but cannot keep her.
I found this puppy walking in the street. Apparently she had jumped her previous owners fence. The previous owner does not want ther back but did inform me that she is about 6 months old when I found her but Heidi P says that she is about a year old. She does not like cats and will focus on them when she sees them-i have not seen her attack any cats but she has chased one. She currently resides with me and my 3 other dogs.-ages 13yo, 6yo, 6mos. She is friendly and gives kisses but does have food aggression with other dogs-not people. She is very energetic and agile. She has jumped our indoor gates.She does know how to sit and we are working with her on getting her housebroken. She really doesn't have accidents in the house anymore but will not let you know when she needs to go out-We typically leave her outside for at least 15minutes to use the bathroom as she does not go right away. She is crate-trained-we tell her to go in the cage and she does. She sleeps with my 17 yo daughter and sometimes with me. She is very strong and walking her was difficult-she is improving and she does walk better if she is NOT walked with other dogs. I do use a harness to walk her. She does bark at times when she plays with the other dogs and when someone comes to the door but besides that she is pretty quiet. I was told that she is allergic to frontline as it causes hairloss and skin rash on her (which is how I found her). She no longer goes in the garbage. I don't think that she will get much bigger due to the size of her paws and was told that she is a pure-bred pit bull but no papers. She doesn't chew on non-toys and loves squeaky toys. She is a strong chewer so pay attention to the type of chew toys that she gets. She does get along with other dogs as I have taken her to other peoples houses that have dogs and she plays well with them and I have taken her to pound although she was more submissive than I thought that she would be and did not want to play with the other dogs. We have had her since August. I was also told by the previous owner that she did have her shots but again no papers. She is about the size of a larger beagle, lean, and muscular. She has let me cut her nails without any problems but doesn't like to get her ears cleaned. She does seem like she strains when she is having a bowel movement but her stools are loose. We do allow her to get on the couch. She does think that she is a lap dog. She is good riding in the car but do not have the window all the way down. She does exhibit some behaviors that indicate that she could have possibily been abused such as putting her tail in between her legs when we use the fly swatter (on flies). We spray her with a water bottle as punishment to correct behavior. She loves playing in water such as a small creek and will put her whole face in water. Jessi will need continued behavior training but she is a very loveable puppy. Well there you have it, that's me better than I could describe me!
